The Health and Safety Competencies for the CITB CSCS Green Labourers Card are changing on the 31st March 2020 with regards to IOSH Courses.
From the 1st of April 2020 the 'IOSH Working Safely' Course (5.5hrs of study including assessment) will no longer meet this newly set standard.
IOSH have developed a new course that does satisfy the new requirements. It is called the 'Safety, Health and Environment for Construction Workers' (7hrs of study including assessment).
The new course is designed for delegates working in a construction environment, so the 'IOSH Working Safely' will still be available for all other business sectors.
Incidentally, the JIB ECS Card Scheme (Electromechanical Industry) still accept the 'IOSH Working Safely' course as an accepted H&S Competency, exempting the need to sit an online H&S test.
There is still time to sit an 'IOSH Working Safely' course to qualify for the CITB CSCS Green Labourers Card. I am running two courses in Bromley Town Centre in Kent on the 17th and 24th of February, just sit the online assessment at one of CITB Test Centres and apply for your card before the end of March 2020.
